My Creative Space :: Mini Dinosaur Park

It’s amazing what you can do with an old tray, some plastic dinosaurs, a bit of chip-bark and cuttings from a tree.

Ta-dah…..one instant Dinosaur Park complete with water hole (a painted milo tin lid!)

Mr 3 has taken great delight this week playing with his dinosaur park which we built with our own hands. It gets him outside, encourages creative play and gives me 5 minutes of peace and quiet.

I wanted to create an activity for him that can be easily relocated if the weather turns nasty outside and as the dino park is in a tray it can be easily moved around the place without making a mess.

During our park outings he his has been on the lookout for new additions for his dino park which have included rocks, sand and flowers.

In all it’s been a big winner so far not only for the entertained factor but he is also learning about plants and animals without even realising it. What have you created this week?

My Creative Space

I’ve been so flat out lately with Bambini stuff, the family and general household tasks that sometimes l look at my watch and it’s already 4pm! The days seem to fly by quick, hardly leaving anytime for me to do some of the things l enjoy most.

I have however made an effort to log off at night and do something l love, which is spending time with hubby on the couch to watch some telly and crochet.

I love to crochet and here is my latest project – granny squares. They are for the blanket I’m making for our bed. The kids both have hand-made blankets and l thought it was high time l made one for us.

What do you love to do in your spare time?

My Creative Space

l saw the pattern for this little Mushroom House
on the internet and instantly fell in love with it.

I'm no expert when it comes to embroidery
or felting but anyone can have a go at it if you have
some patience, creativity and of course time.

The perfect place to do this little project is in front
of the telly when the kids are tucked away in bed.

What crafty projects have you been creating lately?
