Let Them Eat Cake

When you look at a cupcake, you’ve got to smile. - Anne Byrn

These images caught my eye on the Cupcake
Wrapper Blog and l just had to share them with you.

Everyone loves a cute little cupcake.

Now party planners can make them look even better
with a splash of colour from the Cupcake Wrapper.

Cupcake wrappers are a fabulous concept for decorating your
cupcake’s, they are quick and easy - just the thing for busy mums.

But most of all they are just SO super cute and dress up any party table.

Queen of Dag

l really can't help myself.

l just can't walk past an Op Shop!

l have to go in - even if I'm pressed for time.

Here are my latest 'daggy' vintage floral finds.

l LOVE them and at $4 who could argue with that.

Tea Party

Caffeine free teas for the little ones!

Kidz Tea is the creation of stay at home mum Vanessa.

Vanessa is a lady after my own heart and enjoys nothing
better than sitting down to a lovely cup of tea.

As her daughters grew older they took an interest in having
a cup of tea also – they wanted to feel like
“big girls” and enjoy afternoon tea with mummy.

Vanessa like any good mother knew she couldn’t serve up
regular tea for the little ones so she set off to create a
range of caffeine free herbal teas for children - alas Kidz Tea was born.

Throughout the Kidz Tea herbal range there are some amazing
health benefits for children drinking tea, such as soothing upset tummies,
combating sleep problems and relieving cold and allergy symptoms.

Kidz Tea is a great alternative to cordial and heavily sugared fruit juices.

It can be drunk warm on a cold wintery morning or
served cold as a refreshing drink on a hot summer’s day.

With adorable names such as Andy Apple,Ricky Raspberry, Penny Peach and
Tina Colada the grownups will want to have a cheeky cup or two as well!

The bubba and l also had the pleasure of sampling some of the Kidz
Tea range and l must say they smell just divine and taste delicious.

Andy Apple was the bubbas favourite which was the ideal cold
drink after playing in the park and l have a soft spot for the
Ricky Raspberry – it’s the perfect night cap after a long day!

Bag Lady

I'm a bag lady

l LOVE a bag and I've written about Envirosax before on my blog.

That's how much l love them!

They would have to be the handiest bags l have come across.

They are chic, inexpensive, compact and fab for the environment.

Check out my latest purchases - l just love the prints!

l even got a special one for the bubba which holds his blocks!

APTE Cafe

We arrived mid-morning and the place was jam packed
with families, couples and of course some four legged friends.

We were lucky to get a table and the staff was very prompt in showing
us to our seats, taking our coffee orders and fetching the highchair.

Not that bubba sat in it for long – the box of toys was calling his name.

The toy box was filled with all your usual fun things –
books, plastic cars and a variety of other bibs and bobs.

Family - Food and Flowers

l love weekends when we don't have any plans.

So when we know we'll be home all weekend
my hubby loves to cook up fresh pasta for dinner.

l usually swing past the markets to pick up fresh flowers
and yummy cakes while he slaves over a hot stove.

The bubba also loves to help daddy cook up fresh pasta,
who knew playing with flour could be so much fun!

Hope you had a wonderful weekend with your family!

inspire you to get cracking on that spring vegie patch!

We have already started our little spring vegie patch.

Our pots are filled with Coriander, Vietnamese Mint,
Sweet Basil, Dill, Parsley, Chives and Rosemary.

What are you planting this spring?

Jerry's Milkbar

We felt totally relaxed at Jerrys Milkbar, as there were several
other children also running around playing with toys along
with a few expectant mothers and small family groups.

Inside the kids can drool over the old fashioned lolly counter which
is filled
with all your usual milkbar mixed lolly favourites – pineapples,
fads lollies, snakes and all the rest you can think of from your childhood.

My Creative Space

So when l'm not washing clothes, mopping floors, reviewing
cafes, cooking meals and taking the bubba to soccer lessons l
love to do something creative with the little spare time l have.

This week l'm loving nothing better than to sit on the couch at night and crochet.

l know it's my 'inner' nanna coming out - but everyone loves nanna!

Here is my current project l've been working on for the last week.

What have you been creating this week?

Happy Father's Day!

A father is someone that holds your hand at the fair

Makes sure you do what your mother says

Holds back your hair when your are sick

Brushes that hair when it is tangled because mother is too busy

Lets you eat ice cream for breakfast but only when mother is away

He walks you down the aisle

And tells you everything is going to be Ok

We Love Daisy Lane!

I think everyone is well aware of my soft spot for all things vintage
– especially when it comes to children’s illustrations.

When l found out that Lark was launching a new range based on
vintage illustrations from the 60’s l was thrilled and quickly endeavoured
to find out how to get my hands on some of this gorgeous range.

Let me introduce to you Daisy Lane.

Daisy Lane is based on a batch of vintage greeting cards that
Allison found at the Daylesford Bazaar (one of our favourite
shopping haunts when we vist the country!)

These gorgeous cards were originally illustrated by Sue Adams.

Sue was a greeting card artist for Phil Taylor Cards in Sydney
from the 1960s tothe 1980s, so taking inspiration from
Sue's illustrations Allison created Daisy Lane.

This beautifully designed playful range has it all!
From Wall posters to Letter Writing Sets and of course my personal
favourite – Swaps Cards complete with album.
The Daisy Lane range will eventually grow into a whole
collection of sweet gifts from bubble bath to secret diaries.
All the lovely things we loved from childhood – especially the secret dairies.

Daisy Lane is 100% Australian made and can be found online at the Lark website.
