My Creative Space

l saw the pattern for this little Mushroom House
on the internet and instantly fell in love with it.

I'm no expert when it comes to embroidery
or felting but anyone can have a go at it if you have
some patience, creativity and of course time.

The perfect place to do this little project is in front
of the telly when the kids are tucked away in bed.

What crafty projects have you been creating lately?

Good Enough To Eat!

I just love the Internet – don’t you?

l adore stumbling across all that is vintage, cute,
crafty, foodie and anything else that takes my fancy!

So when l was surfing the other day l came
across these little gems from My Paper Crane.

Its food softies with personality!

They are just too cute!

The Farm Cafe

The child friendly features that we love came in the form of
highchairs,
change table and of course a great little children’s menu.

The bubba has up-graded from his babycino days and is
enjoying mini milkshakes now that the weather is

warmer – caramel to be in fact – just like dad.

After your meal the kids can then wander through the
farm and check out the farm animals we all love
from goats and cows to chooks and geese.

All children must be supervised by an adult and you can choose
to buy small bags of “hay” for 50 cents to feed the animals.

Children's Week

You can learn many things from children.

How much patience you have, for instance.

~ Franklin P. Jones

Don't forget Children's Week October 23rd- 31st!

Children’s Week is a national program recognising the

Victorian schools and early childhood services
to host
activities during Children's Week that focus
community
attention on the needs and achievements
of children
and young people as they thrive, learn and grow.

The activities are based around the theme of A Caring World Shares.

Grounded Pleasures

When l was asked to review Grounded Pleasures Drinking Chocolate l was delighted.

How could a girl say no to another fellow stay at home
mum – who happens to live in my old home town of Ballarat.
Also l just couldn't’t pass up the chance to try a new
type of boutique hot chocolate – no one in their right mind would!

Here are a few cheeky facts about Grounded Pleasures you may not know.

Grounded Pleasures is a family owned and run business based in Ballarat,
Sophie is also a busy stay at home mum to Gus who has just turned 1.

Grounded Pleasures is a boutique style
drinking chocolate that comes in 3 flavours.

Plain
Orange
Cinnamon Spiced

It can be found at selected cafes, farmers
markets and of course online on their website.

Grounded Pleasures source their cocoa beans from Africa.

100% natural – Gluten Free – Dairy Free and GMO Free.

5% of the Grounded Pleasures profits are donated to
non-government organisations working with
cocoa farmers, rain forest rescue and preservation.

The African Red is one of the most pure and
sumptuous chocolate experiences you can find.
It is sourced from the best cocoa growing regions of West Africa.
It exhibits all the hallmarks of African grown
Forastero cocoa beans and a hint of Trinitario cocoa
beans, with delightful high fruity notes.

These beans have been processed with the utmost care from tree to cup.
African Red is made using most of the cocoa bean,
thus retaining most of the cocoa liquor which
is usually reserved for hard chocolates.

The quality cocoa beans together with the minimum of processing,
means it has very high levels of anti-oxidants and flavonoids.
These are the great "health giving" properties of fine chocolate.

– Grounded Pleasures

I must saying trying these delightful hot chocolates was
certainly a treat and l feel very honoured that Sophie
took the time to ask me to write about them.

The flavours are smooth and rich while also
smelling just divine and so very inviting.

I found the hot chocolates rich, creamy and sweet with no need to
add extra sugar, which can happen in other hot chocolate brands.

I found they were easy to make in my home, with a
splash of hot water and some warm milk – voila!
Before you sits the perfect mid morning beverage
or the ideal night cap made in just minutes.

Grounded Pleasures hot chocolate is very much a special treat,
and not only are they great to enjoy at home but l
think they would make an excellent and unique gift.

It’s not your supermarket variety of hot chocolate
– but more an upmarket style of hot chocolate.

I highly recommend trying them out, the Grounded Pleasures
range can also be found at selected cafes in Melbourne.

So pop into a cafe and try a warm cup today!

Colour Me Happy

Every girl loves stationary.

So when l stumbled across this range of cute
pencils by Paper Scissors Rock l just had to share.

Each pencil has been hand wrapped with Japanese
washi paper and are brilliant for encouraging
children to write, colour and draw.

Although they look a bit too good for the kids!

Keep a cheeky set for yourself.

Date Night

My hubby and l are very blessed.

We have fabulous family support when it comes to babysitters

Nonno and Nonna live just around the corner and are only
too happy to take the bubba off our hands when we need a break.

So when we feel like having some time out and splashing out
on a fancy restaurant – which these days is a very rare
occasion, here are some of our favourites we like to visit.

The food is fabulous and the wine selection is even better.

Cumulus Inc

Bird Man Eating

Libertine

Matteo’s

It’s very much a special treat for us to enjoy good
food and wine – like the good old days before babies!

So we always make the most of it.

I believe it’s great for a couples mental health to both get away
from it all and have a special dinner – just the two of you.

Although l don’t know about everyone else but all we always
end up talking about is the bubba when he is not around!
